at a reduced cost to gold subscribers. I can understand a small fee for added support over time (patching, added content, moderation, hosting, etc.)
Stop disagreeing with me because you're too lazy to do some research.
Frontlines uses dedicated servers on XBL, UT3 uses dedicated servers, Battlefield Bad Company uses dedicated servers, and I'm pretty sure LOTR conquest and a lot of other EA games (madden, FIFA, NBA LIVE, etc) use dedicated servers.

xbl can have dedicated servers -_-. It's the developer's choice how they want to support their online gaming.
Stop coddling sony. Make sure they know how much you want the features at least. Just like I'm vocal on M$ boards about how they should have a way to rate XNA games, or that my friend had to pay for RROD before the 3 year extension, or that party chat should be possible, or that they should have clan support.
Contentment slows advancement.
yea... and that's why they didn't get an anti-monopoly suit put up against them and didn't have their company split up.
That has already been dealt with. What they are doing now is in no way illegal. What Opera is doing is entirely frivolous, and, if they win, the business world will be pissed. If they lose however, they will literally spend all their capital paying off M$'s legal bills.
WAT?! you can't quantify numbers? Please tell me you thought about that after you said it.
@the rest: KZ2 probably won't pick up at Xmas. very very few games released more than half a year earlier do.
I think the most important thing to note about KZ2 is that it has to sell a lot just to make back it's budget (which is estimated at around $60 million just for development, not advertising, manufacturing, or publishing). It's going to take almost 2 million sales just f...
Unless I already had a decent desktop. You just can't do enough on them. Laptops are good because you can have one computer you can take everywhere and use for everything you do. Netbooks are pretty much good for messing around and traveling, but not as a main computing solution.
Toyota is no longer allowed to use it's own radiators.
Walmart shouldn't be able to sell it's own line of generic food.
Exxon should put other companies' gas in it's gas stations.
If they just made it not count as a death, it would be fine.
After all, you didn't really die, because you got revived. It wouldn't mess up your stats at all, and even if you spawned with no ammo, you can just suicide rush if you want to stay dead. Pretty much just take out the biggest negative to being respawned (that you get a death counted without dying), and it should be fine.
Windows 7 has it's own netbook dedicated OS version that's much simplified over the normal version of windows 7. I wouldn't count it out.
That said, I think they'd have to make a dedicated netbook version of android before it competes well with future windows versions. I'd have to hear more about how they decide to price the different versions of windows too though.
quick edit:
I still don't think netbooks will replace laptops. A lot of people are looki...
I don't get how it's supposed to be scary. The film bases it's fear of of seeing humans react to pain or the thought of pain. I'm not sure how well that will translate to a game?
Apparently a lot of dumb people. Why would you buy a console for a game that isn't even announced yet being made by a third party studio that has a history of switching platforms with the same series?
None of those devs ever said any of that. Valve's engine was designed with a PC in mind, so obviously it wouldn't run super great on the PS3, and they aren't a huge studio, so it wasn't worth their time to redo the whole engine.
Id said the only thing holding back iDtech was DVD size (and not even size, just that M$ charges royalties for additional disks), compared to Carmack saying, in the same interview, that the PS3 version takes twice as long to develop for to get the same re...
"I haven't seen anyone say it'll be better on the PS3."
Agent X:
"its not possible to run killzone 2 on the 360 i mean think about it if tekken 6 cant run on the 360 what makes you think Killzone 2 can"
Where did anyone say the engine as a whole ran better on the PS3? It most definitely runs best on a PC, and the developers said each platform performs better in certain areas:
"The CE3 runs currently at more or less the same quality bar. I say more or less because the engine still optimizes itself to power of the platforms' intrinsics. So the PS3 will run slightly better here, it'll look and feel probably the same, but the engine is diverting computation needs to power subsy...
You think nobody with a 360 is an FF fan?
Then you do one of two things. take out a loan for the more profitable thing, or you wait till the profit ur already making is enough to do the project.
You still don't cut things that are making a profit and doing well.
You still don't cut a sector in debt if it's now making a profit.
You don't cut profitable sectors unless they are trending to go into debt. They are trending up. It's still economically dumb.
And I see the numbers gone up a ways from 5 on the people that need to take an econ course.
They're just the stepford wives overly perfect kind of evil.
